When you submit a case to Pixsy, it is helpful for us to know both the original place of your photo’s publication and the direct URL where it was published. A direct image URL is the exact location of an image on the web and usually ends in a common photo file extension such as .jpg, .png, or .gif.
On a Computer
Follow these steps to obtain a direct URL for an image online:
1. Right-click on the image
2. Select “Copy image address” in Safari, “Copy image URL” in Chrome, or “Copy image location” in Firefox
3. Paste the URL where needed.
Pro Tip: You can select "Open image in new tab". This opens the photo on its own clean page. You can then click the address bar at the top of your screen and copy the entire URL from there.
Note to Flickr Users: Click the “Download” icon next to a photo, select a size and then click “Copy link address” in Chrome, “Copy link” in Safari or “Copy link location” in Firefox to obtain the image URL (see below). This may not work if you have downloading disabled.

On a Mobile Device
Mobile devices do not have a right-click button, so you may follow the steps outlined below:
Using Google Chrome (iOS & Android)
- Tap and hold the image until a menu pops up.
- Tap "Open image in new tab" (on some devices, you may need to tap "Share" first to find the link option).
- Go to that new tab, tap the Address Bar at the top or bottom of your screen, and select "Copy".
Using Safari (iPhone & iPad)
- Tap and hold the image.
- On iOS, you can tap "Copy" from the context menu. This will often copy the actual image file, but if you paste it into a text field (like an address bar or notes app), it may paste as the direct link.
- If that doesn't work, tap "Share" from that same pop-up menu and look for "Copy Link".
